To whom it may concern,
We are pleased to inform you that…(name of general
contractor) has awarded us a contract for the supply,
installation and/or execution of…(description of
materials) required for the above mentioned project. The
approximate amount of the contract is… ($), plus
GST and PST. The cost of any additional materials will
be added to the amount mentioned.
If you have awarded no construction contract to the
general contractor for said project, it is important that
you advise us accordingly upon receipt of this letter
so that we may reconsider our implication in this project.
This letter should not be interpreted in any shape or
form as an attack on the solvency or the integrity of
our CUSTOMER, but instead as a normal procedure imposed
on our COMPANY so that we can meet certain prerequisites
of article 2726 and Seq. of the Civil Code of Quebec in
regards to questions of Legal Hypothec of Construction
and/or of Labor and Material Payment Bond, if applicable.
